How long will it take for my child to sleep better?

That depends! There are a lot of factors that go into sleep training; which method we choose, the age of the child, and most importantly how consistent parents or guardians are during the process.

What is a sleep consultant?

A sleep consultant is someone who is highly trained in the newest methods in sleep training, the biological sleep needs of children, and safe-sleeping practices.  There are so many different methods out there and so much advice that it can get overwhelming.  I can help you arrive at a plan that works for you and support you through the process.

You’ll just suggest Cry it Out, right?

Absolutely not! Cry it Out (or Extinction as it’s called in the biz) is one of the many methods I’m trained to support you with. Each family will be able to choose what they are comfortable with – free from shame or judgement.

What age can I start sleep training my baby?

There are things you can do to promote healthy sleep habits at even just a few weeks old! In terms of teaching your baby to fall asleep independently with traditional sleep practices though should wait until the baby is four months old.

Is it too late for my 3 Year Old?

Absolutely not!  Threenagers come with their own troubles and therefore have a unique set of methods to go with it!

Does being a *Certified* Sleep Consultant make a difference?

One hundo percent!  As a Certified Sleep Consultant I have participated in over 250 hours of in-class instruction.  I am required to participate in on-going continuous education to remain up-to-date with the current trends and methods, and am able to register with the International Association of Child Sleep Consultants (IACSC).
